This exhibition is organized by the Gallery Meca, Almeria in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Granada. Twenty-four artists were invited to try out the possibilities of risography and the results are presented here.
The model can be either digital or analog and is produced with a risograph, which is an environmentally friendly way of producing prints. It has no similarities whatsoever to a digital print, but is more reminiscent of the way of working as in screen printing. The risograph has a drum that is filled with one color at a time and it requires drying time between the different colors, which also gives time for reflection. The result cannot be controlled to 100%, which gives an extra charm to the result.
